Well I know a lot of you are wondering what it takes to start or even grow your podcast. Some of you have seen video upon video that literally showed you nothing. Let me ask you something... Do you know what a podcast is? If you don't let me give you a definition. Via Google a podcast is a digital audio file made available on the internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically.
If that went over your head let me explain. You need to find a way to get the content of your show distributed to an audience. There are a lots of ways to do this. Our way of doing it is pretty simple. Record, edit then release. So in this post I am going to express the first part. Record!
All good podcasting starts with recording great content. Now there are levels to this part that I think some beginners in podcasting take wrong. Some of you think that you need the most expensive thing to start recording content. This is so not true. Most podcasters start off by using their phones. Trust us this is still one of our biggest advantages to shooting our podcast. Most audiences love to be able to watch visual content. Now lets understand the next part of audio.
Your audio is important as well. So make sure the visual and audio of the content is presented at its best. No one wants to see a thousand things going on in your background as well as hearing it. We record with cameras and microphones to be able to compete with the big dogs. It takes a lot starting from the bottom but don't focus on all that until you can reach that level. We just have had years on training under our belt so we know what to do. I Duan Barrino (www.duanbarrino.com) have a degree in Music Production so there is a bigger advantage there.
That's all for this post. Any questions feel free to contact us and we will get back as soon as possible. Until next time folks.
